Sometime it is happening that on HP-UX user account will be locked out. Especially in cases when higher security restrictions for user management are configured.

In some cases user account is happening that user account will be locked at HP-UX. One of such example is when there are too many unsuccessful authentications retries during logging in short time period.

We'll use: “userdbset” - modify information in the user database, /var/adm/userdb

# userdbset -d -u <USER_ACCOUNT> auth_failures                  # This will unlock the account on HP UX
